African Studies
The African Studies semester pathway allows students to pursue African Studies coursework in English while living in a Francophone environment. The semester curriculum includes four African Studies courses taught in English, integrated language study in French or Wolof, field modules, and a supervised capstone project.
Francophone Studies
The Francophone Studies semester pathway is designed for students with advanced proficiency in French. Coursework is conducted primarily in French and includes four content courses engaging Senegalese and Francophone African literature, history, politics, philosophy, and the arts. Students also complete Wolof language immersion alongside a supervised research capstone or internship.
French Language
The Accelerated French Language Program is designed for students whose primary goal is rapid French acquisition through total immersion. Instruction follows an intensive model with French as the sole language of instruction.
Wolof
The Wolof Language Program is designed for students whose primary goal is rapid Wolof acquisition through total immersion. Instruction follows an intensive model with Wolof as the sole language of instruction.
